The process may be used to staff similar positions with Indigenous Services Canada and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada with various language requirements and profiles, and in various locations in Canada.
All federal organizations listed in the Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) may use this selection process to staff similar positions in their organization.

EXPERIENCE
- Significant* and recent** experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations on complex policy matters to senior officials (Director General and above).
- Recent** experience developing policy initiatives or programs in support of departmental key priorities.
- Significant* experience building and maintaining productive relationships with other federal departments, Indigenous organizations and governments, and provincial/territorial governments.
- Experience working on the development or implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) or the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDA).
- Experience in managing human*** and financial**** resources.
NOTES:
*Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of activities related to the work, which is normally acquired over a period of at least two (2) years.
**Recent experience is defined as having been acquired within the last five (5) years.
***Some examples of managing human resources may include: supervising staff, establishing a vision, priorities, work plans or establishing work objectives, conducting performance assessments and feedback, approving training, demonstration of experience in managing various service delivery and resources allocation frameworks. Applicants must also indicate the number of staff they have supervised.
****Some examples of managing financial resources may include: full delegation for a budget, being responsible for financial planning, forecasting and reporting. Applicants must also indicate the size of the budget they managed directly.
