The Programs Group is responsible for managing programs and activities related to air, marine and surface infrastructure, waterways, the environment, and innovation.
Our group has a wide skillset that helps us manage complex funding agreements between the Crown and provincial and municipal governments, private stakeholders, ports and airports authorities.

Several units within the Programs Group will be hiring from this PM-05 pool, such as the Rail Safety Improvement Program (https://tc.canada.ca/en/programs/funding-programs/rail-safety-improvement-program).
The intent of this process is to staff multiple positions within the Transportation and Infrastructure Programs Branch of Transport Canada. A pool of qualified candidates may be created for future vacancies within Transport Canada.
NOTE: The positions being staffed at this time are located in Ottawa, Ontario. Hybrid or full-time on-site work arrangements may be possible from a Transport Canada office location across Canada.

ED: Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience
EX1: Recent and significant* experience providing recommendations to management.
EX2: Recent and significant* experience in leading and coordinating the activities of multidisciplinary committees and working groups.
EX3: Recent and significant* experience in addressing internal or external client concerns and resolving problems.
EX4: Recent and significant* experience writing two or more of the following types of documents for senior management**: briefing materials, decks, speaking points, and records of decision.
EX5: Recent and significant* experience in coordinating and managing projects.
* “Recent and significant” is defined as the depth and breadth of experience usually acquired over a period of 2 years during the last 5 years.
** “Senior Management” is defined as Director or above in the federal public service, or the equivalent with other employers.
