This position is located in Ottawa, Ontario. You will be expected to work in the office three days per week, with the option to work two days from home. We will not approve full time telework.

Education
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post secondary institution with acceptable specialization in physics, geology, chemistry, or some other science relevant to the position.
Candidates must always have a university degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience
Experience* in managing and coordinating cross-cutting policy/program/business files (such as integrated business plan, program evaluations and audits, priority setting exercises, budget proposals, outreach activities, etc.)
Experience in planning and conducting technical, regulatory, or scientific research or studies for the development and implementation of programs/initiatives
Experience in providing expert advice to senior officials**
Experience in reporting and presenting analysis or research findings
Experience in planning and conducting engagement activities with internal and external stakeholders
*Experience is defined as more than 2 years of experience
** Senior officials are defined as Director level and above
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

Knowledge of the Canadian mining industry and related technology/innovation challenges
Knowledge of the Green Mining Innovation program and its relevance to Departmental plans and priorities
