ANTICIPATORY

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in physics, chemistry, or some other science relevant to the position.
Experience:
PC-03:
E1) Recent* experience in conducting analysis and developing technical and/or engineering report(s) and presentation(s) in an energy related field.
E2) Experience in technical review or development of clean energy proposals for at least one of the following areas:
• Oil and gas production, extraction, processing technologies;
• Oil and gas distribution, pipelines, offshore, and/or overseas transport;
• Air emissions management technology development;
• Industry sectors such as cement, refining, petrochemical, steel, chemical manufacturing;
• Low-carbon fuels (e.g. advanced biofuels, renewable natural gas, hydrogen, synthetic or e-fuels); and /or
• Carbon, capture, storage and utilization processes and technologies.
• Renewable energy, energy storage, energy efficiency.
E3) Experience in conducting engineering, S&T, and/or research projects, which could include industrial process development and analysis, applied energy research, project negotiation, and managing project logistics such as, project scheduling and management, developing final reports and publishing conclusions, recommendations, and next steps, for at least one of the following areas:
• Oil and gas production, extraction, processing technologies;
• Oil and gas distribution including pipelines, offshore, and/or overseas transport;
• Air emissions management technology development;
• Industry sectors such as cement, refining, petrochemical, steel, chemical manufacturing;
• Low-carbon fuels (e.g. advanced biofuels, renewable natural gas, hydrogen, synthetic or e-fuels); and /or
• Carbon, capture, storage and utilization processes and technologies.

E4) Experience developing various types of written material, such as briefing material, presentation decks, speaking notes, reports, etc.

PC-04:
E1) Recent* and significant** experience in conducting analysis and developing technical and/or engineering report(s) and presentation(s) in an energy related field.

Asset Experience
AE1) Recent* and / or significant experience in process development, modeling, and analysis in industrial sectors including cement, refining, petrochemical, steel, chemical manufacturing.
AE2) Recent* and / or significant experience in chemical process modeling and design and detailed knowledge of different process equipment and unit operations.
AE3) Recent* and / or significant experience in conducting R&D projects in oil and/or gas processing, related air emissions technologies and/or environmental management related to oil and gas water use and/or tailings.
AE4) Experience in the negotiation and management of transfer payment agreements and/or amendments for projects that focus on innovative energy technologies or solutions.
AE5) Significant experience with stakeholder engagement in an energy S&T field.
AE6) Recent* and / or significant experience in conducting technical analysis and/or research on electrochemical clean energy solutions (e.g. electrolysis and fuel cells);
AE7) Recent* and / or significant experience in conducting technical analysis and/or research on clean and low-carbon hydrogen production, distribution, storage, or for end-use applications;
AE8) Recent* and / or significant experience in conducting technical analysis and/or research on conversion technologies to produce clean and/or low-carbon fuels (e.g., advanced biofuels, renewable natural gas, and other emerging renewable gases and liquid fuels);
AE9) Recent* and / or significant experience in conducting technical analysis, process design and/or research on carbon capture, utilization and storage;
AE10) Recent* and / or significant experience in modeling or evaluating GHG emissions including LCA for energy technologies, especially in an R&D context.
