HOW TO APPLY:
You will be required to demonstrate how you meet the education and each of the experience criteria listed in the ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS and any of the applicable ASSET QUALIFICATIONS on the Statement of Merit Criteria for the initial screening by answering the online screening questions. You must provide concrete and detailed examples in your resume and responses to the screening questions.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING IN OVERSEEING CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS
- Support establishing the design standards applicable to new and changed aeronautical products.
- Accept the applicant means of compliance to these standards.
- Work with industry engineers, and Transport Canada Delegates, throughout the phases of certification.
- Attend certification and technical reviews, witnessing certification tests, in Canada and abroad.
- Coordinate with all areas of expertise involved in the certification of aeronautical products
- Collaborate with foreign certification authorities.
- Support the validation of foreign aeronautical products.
- Work in teams on certification projects for a variety of aircraft types requiring a wide scope of technical responsibilities.
The results of this process will initially be used to staff 9 (nine) positions with various language requirements on an indeterminate basis.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff identical or similar positions with various tenures and/or language requirements at Transport Canada in the National Capital Region.

Your résumé.
Education
ED: Graduation with a bachelor’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
OR
Occupational Certification
OC: Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.
Note 1: Candidates will be asked to provide proof of education or eligibility for certification.

Experience
EX1 : Minimum of five years of engineering experience relevant to the position in the design, development, testing and certification of aeronautical products.

AOC: Previous delegation or qualification to become delegated as an Aircraft Certification Delegate by Transport Canada.
