Join the Alberta RCMP’s Business Strategies unit and lead your team in the development of financial, resourcing and reporting needs for our communities and senior management. Alberta RCMP provides policing services to over 100 communities and policing partners. In this role you will be responsible for providing business analysis services for contract partner budgets and human resourcing needs. You will hold a lead role in the multi-year financial planning process and the development and implementation of financial strategies to attain organizational goals. The position within Business Strategies will lead a team of support analysts on a variety of tasks. If you enjoy a range of activities, have great attention to detail and enjoy supporting clients, this job is for you!
This process will initially be used to staff three business management analyst positions on an indeterminate basis, and create a pool of qualified candidates. This pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (i.e. indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment).
Similar positions may also include varying areas of focus such as:
• Value Impact – If analysis is your forte, this is the area for you. This team will be focused on the review and analysis of a multitude of business decisions to determine efficacy. You’ll work with a team on focused projects to make recommendations on the way forward.
• Client Services – Our client services team supports our policing partners with knowledge and expertise on the interpretation and delivery of contract policing. In this role you will also lead a team of analysts on the development of Memoranda of Understanding.
• Business Intelligence – This area has a focus on strategic planning for the Alberta RCMP, including working with senior management on the setting of goals, strategies and measurements to achieve results.
Depending on the role, these positions may lead a team of support analysts, although not all positions have a supervisory component.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.
