The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is a key player in public safety. We are responsible for the supervision and reintegration of offenders serving sentences of two years or more. On a typical day, we manage approximately 15,000 offenders placed within our 43 institutions and more than 8,500 offenders under supervision in the community.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in social work.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in providing Social Work services to clients in mental health settings and/or correctional settings
Experience working independently with minimal clinical supervision
Experience working as part of an inter-disciplinary team

EDUCATION
Graduation with a Master’s degree in Social Work from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in social work
EXPERIENCE
Experience providing crisis intervention services
Experience in delivering therapeutic group interventions
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of types of mental disorders and effective interventions for adults with mental disorders
Knowledge of the principles and usages of cognitive-behavioural therapies

Willingness to travel frequently within a province or region.
Ability to work overtime on short notice or to work variable hours.
