Intent of the process

The intent is to staff seven positions on an indeterminate basis at Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) with various language profiles within the national capital region (NCR). A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may also be established to staff similar or identical positions at Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Nothern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) in the National Capital Region with various linguistic requirements or profiles* as well as tenures (term or indeterminate) and/or security clearance (reliability or secret), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

EDUCATION

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

NOTE:

The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

- Experience in supporting the implementation of program initiatives.

- Experience in liaising with various stakeholders.

- Experience in developing briefing or reporting material for management (Director level or above) in support of programs.

- Experience in providing advice and recommendations to management (Director level and above).

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

EXPERIENCE ASSET:

- Experience in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio).

- Experience managing a program or project.

- Experience writing for parliamentary issues.

- Experience with Memorandum to Cabinet and Treasury Board Submissions.

- Experience providing Business Analysis Support in implementing changes/enhancements to an Information Management System.

-Experience with communications tools and techniques for innovative reporting purposes.

-Experience with project management principles.

-Experience with Indigenous or Northern issues.
