Education:
- Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program OR one (1) year of experience in lands, law, business administration, public administration, Indigenous studies or in any other field relevant to the work being performed. You must provide proof of how you meet this qualification.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
- Experience in providing support or services to Indigenous communities, organizations or the general public.

- Experience preparing reporting material, proposals, or briefing notes in support of policies and programs.

- Experience in facilitating workshops, leading meetings, or delivering presentations.

A variety of assessment tools may be used in the assessment of candidates. All information collected throughout the selection process from the submission of the application until the end of the process could be used to assess the candidates.

📌Our intention is to communicate with candidates via email. 1. Reference checks may be sought
2. An interview will be administered.
3. A written exam may be administered.
4. Candidates may be required to meet the asset qualifications, or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed.
5. Achieving a representative workforce has been identified as an organizational need in the merit criteria, and may be applied in this appointment process.
6. Indeterminate employees at the same group and level or equivalent may be considered for deployment. If no deployment is made, applicants from other groups and levels will be considered in the advertised appointment process.
7. The essential qualifications that are listed in the statement of merit criteria are mandatory. A pass mark will be established for each. Applicants must meet each essential qualification to be appointed to the position. An applicant may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications. However, meeting these criteria is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In the event that there are as many applicants who meet the essential qualifications as there are vacancies, the manager may decide not to assess some or all of the asset qualifications.
8. Candidates will be asked to provide proof of their education credentials and proof of citizenship at the assessment stage of this process. Failure to do so may result in your application not being considered further in the selection process.

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
