The intent of this selection process is to create a pool of fully or partially qualified candidates to be used to staff these or similar or lower level positions within Fisheries and Oceans Canada in Newfoundland and Labrador. This process may be used to staff various tenures, including indeterminate, specified period, deployment, assignment, secondment and acting.

EDUCATION:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience consulting or leading consultations with, senior industry stakeholder representatives and/or diverse stakeholders/groups
- Experience managing complex issues with respect to programs, fisheries or other natural resources
- Experience in developing policy, procedures, directives or guidelines
- Experience briefing and providing advice to senior officials
EDUCATION:
- Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in managing human resources
- Experience in managing financial resources
- Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in managing natural-resource based operational programs directly related to service delivery to Canadians
- Experience collaborating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
- Experience relating to the management of commercial, recreational, or Indigenous fisheries resources in Newfoundland and Labrador
- Experience consulting or leading consultations with Indigenous groups
