Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in geology, chemistry, meteorology, atmospheric sciences, applied mathematics, physics, or some other science relevant to the position.
Experience:
• Experience in analysing and interpreting large datasets of natural phenomena and in solving complex numerical problems.
• Experience in modelling/simulation and numerical methods.
• Experience in weather forecasting.
• Experience in development and delivery of weather related presentations.
Asset Education:
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in natural or physical sciences related to the position.
Asset Experience:
• Experience in fire weather forecasting.
• Experience in modelling wildland fires or fire behavior.
• Experience in writing technical/scientific reports and articles.

Knowledge:
• Knowledge of atmospheric processes and basic climatology.
• Knowledge of interpretation of numerical weather prediction (NWP) products.
