Intent of the process

The immediate need is to create a pool for anticipated future vacancies on an indeterminate basis, with various linguistic profiles and a RCMP Enhanced Reliability status security clearance.

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education, linguistics, sociology, psychology, mathematics, physics, home economics or some other specialty relevant to the positions in the classification. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Experience in the analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of training courses, including eLearning training courses, grounded in modern principles of adult education.
Experience in facilitating and leading teams within the context of course design.
Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite and other course design software.

Knowledge of distance learning principles, practices, methodologies and approaches;
Knowledge of current and emerging trends in the field of learning and eLearning through the use of technology
Knowledge of new developments in 2 of the following: non-conventional learning approaches, adult learning, self-directed and team learning, competency profiling, multimedia, interactive and distance learning for the purpose of integrating research results and trends into new continuous learning products and services;

ABILITIES
Ability to plan, manage and coordinate multiple projects;
Ability to design and develop evaluation tools for client and/or organizational needs and context;
Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve issues independently;
Ability to communicate effectively orally;
Ability to communicate effectively in writing;
Ability to transfer course content onto story boards for eLearning design and development.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Successful completion of post-secondary courses related to curriculum development, design and evaluation, eLearning development, design and evaluation.

Experience in design, development, evaluation of eLearning training courses using learning technology software

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to travel.
May be required to work offsite to lead learning design and development activities.
