It is recommended that you describe the experience examples in specific terms, providing sufficient details so that the Assessment Board can clearly understand. Describe the situation/task, how, when and where you acquired these experiences by giving examples. Content of your response must be supported by your CV/resume as your responses to these questions will be used as a primary source of information and your CV/resume will only be used to validate this information. Should you indicate in your response "please refer to CV/resume" your application will be rejected. Lack of examples and details will result in your application being rejected as the Assessment Board will have insufficient information to determine if the requirement is met.

The written exam must be completed at one of the Canadian Space Agency offices in Longueuil, Gatineau or Ottawa. Travel costs for the assessment must be paid by the candidates.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION - EDUCATION:
By May 2023, have completed a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) or an Attestations of College Studies (AEC) from a recognized college, CEGEP or technical institute, in mechanical engineering techniques or at high school level, the combination of a professional study diploma (DEP) as a machinist and a diploma (ASP) of professional specialization attestation of CNC programmer machinist.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION - KNOWLEDGE:
•Knowledge with Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software for design, programming, drafting, file translation to Computer Assisted Manufacturing (CAM) software format and in the set-up and operation of Numerical Control (CNC) machine tools.
•Knowledge of machine shop safety practices.
•Knowledge of modeling, programming and Computer Assisted Manufacturing (CAM) of a complex part.
•Knowledge in mechanical manufacturing, of principles, techniques, methods and processes related to lathes, cutters, drill, press-folders, shears, and both conventional and CNC milling machines
•Knowledge in materials and their characteristics and methods for finishing a surface.

•Experience in conventional machining, in Computer Aided Design (CAD), in exchange of files with a Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) system and/or the adjustment and operation of numerically controlled machine tools (CNC).
•Experience in a space context (industrial or other) in conventional machining, in Computer Aided Design (CAD), in exchange of files with a Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) system and/or the adjustment and operation of numerically controlled machine tools (CNC).
•Experience with precision sheet metal work.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge or experience in welding, MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), arc, torch and others.
