The Records Classifier provides administrative and operational support services for police officers and other employees at a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). This position also provides front counter and telephone assistance to Head Quarters and detachments throughout Alberta.
This is an anticipatory staffing process designed to create a pool of qualified candidates. The pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (i.e. indeterminate, term, and acting) within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Your résumé.
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Recent* experience working with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
Recent* experience in providing at least three (3) of the following records management services: indexing, cross-referencing, filing, retrieving, retaining, archiving and/or destroying data.
*Recent* experience is defined as experience normally acquired within the past three (3) years.
Experience working in entering, tracking, extracting, and manipulating data into a database management system.
*Note: Excel is not considered a database management system.
