► IT Analyst
The position is responsible to provide technical services and advice in the planning, development, implementation, integration and maintenance of a departmental IT infrastructure in support of service delivery to internal and external clients, and stakeholders.
Evaluates, installs, maintains, troubleshoots, upgrades, documents and administers the use and replacement of workstations, servers, LAN/WAN, and peripheral equipment, related networking and operating system software and refers problems to the next level of support as required.
► Wireless Communication Technician
Technical service and advice in the planning, development, configuration, installation, implementation, and maintenance of the wireless communications (IT) infrastructure and electronics infrastructure for RCMP J Division. The primary focus of the work is on wireless communications subscriber units, infrastructure, and antennae.
Evaluate, configure, operationalize, installation, maintain IT infrastructure and electronics in centralized Operational Communication Centres, Divisional radio communications subscriber units infrastructure, detachment facility wireless infrastructure, in police and special vehicles, and in support of field and specialized policing operations.

Determination of the group and level of successful candidates will be based upon the following:

*Recent = Within the last two years.
**Significant = experience will be evaluated with regard to complexity and diversity of work handled, level of autonomy demonstrated and impact of the decisions during a continuous two-year period
A pass mark will be established for each essential qualification. Candidates must meet each essential qualification to be appointed to the position. A candidate may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, organizational requirements, or operational needs. However, meeting these criteria is desirable and may be used as a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.
A random or top down selection of candidates may be used in the determination of those to be given further consideration in the assessment process.
Testing/interviews will be conducted at locations of the employer's choice and may require candidates to travel to the test/interview location. Please note that candidates (including employees of the Public Service) will not be considered to be in travel status or on government business and that travel costs will not be reimbursed.
