Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) Canada, located at Global Affairs Canada is hiring.
RRM Canada was established in June 2018 to serve as a permanent secretariat to the G7 Rapid Response Mechanism (G7 RRM), announced at the Charlevoix Summit to identify and respond to foreign threats to democracy, including information manipulation and disinformation. RRM Canada also monitors the digital information ecosystem in real-time to identify and report on signs of foreign state sponsored disinformation related to Government of Canada priorities, both domestic and foreign, and collaborates with other international partners.

EDUCATION
ED1 - Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
NOTE: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
STREAM 1 :
EXPERIENCES
EX1 - Recent* experience using Open Data Analytics*** in a geographic context**.
EX2 - Recent* experience processing a large datasets using various analytical methods and statistical techniques in a geographic context**.
EX3 - Recent* experience using open source intelligence (OSINT) to identify signs of foreign state-sponsored disinformation and/or information manipulation in a geographic context**.
EX4 - Recent* experience working with one or more data analytic, programming and scripting language(s) (e.g. Javascript, Python, R, SQL, etc.) and interacting with relevant database technologies in a geographic context**.
EX5 - Recent* experience communicating data-informed analysis, writing reports and designing and delivering presentations, including utilizing data visualization techniques in a geographic context**.
EX6 - Recent* experience with commercial and open source analytics tools, dashboards and platforms (i.e. business intelligence platforms, RStudio, Jupyter, SAS, etc.)
in a geographic context**.
*Recent experience is defined as experience generally acquired over a period of at least one (1) year within the last five (5) years.
**Geographic context is defined as experience into the following geographic regions: Indo Pacific or Russia, Central and Eastern Europe.
