In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Experience:
EX1: Experience in maintenance and operation of building Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), low-pressure boilers and related equipment (i.e. centrifugal pumps, chemical pumps, pneumatics and control valves)
EX2: Experience in troubleshooting refrigeration systems
EX3: Experience in working with computer associated software including Outlook, Excel, MS Word, and Microsoft Teams
EX4: Experience or certificate in Siemens Building Automation system, or Johnson Controls Building automation system

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Assets Qualifications:
AQ1: Possession of a certificate qualification or diploma in one of the following fields: Electrician, Refrigeration Mechanic, Plumber, Pipefitter or Industrial Mechanic- Millwright
AQ2: Experience in supervising a team of 1-5 people or more

Education:
E1: Provincial (Alberta) certificate of qualification in one of the following trades: Operating Engineer (ABSA 4th class ticket or higher), Electrician, Refrigeration Mechanic, Plumber, Pipefitter, or Industrial Mechanic-Millwright

Degree equivalency

Knowledge:
K1: Knowledge of testing parameters for water treatment and determining corrective action
K2: Knowledge to perform preventative maintenance in a safe manner
K3: Knowledge of the basic components on a refrigeration system.

Abilities:
A1: Ability to communicate effectively in writing
A2: Ability to communicate orally
A3: Ability to read building plans and blueprints
A4: Ability to analyze and interpret maintenance data and evaluate maintenance implications of project proposals, capital plans and service requests.

Personal Suitability:
PS1: Effective interpersonal skills

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

Conditions of Employment:
CE1: Must be able to lift and carry 25kg while practicing proper safety procedures
CE2: Must be able to work in hot and cold conditions
CE3: Must be willing and able to wear and /or utilize Personalized Protective Equipment in compliance with safety regulations
CE4: Be physically able to climb up and down a ladder, as well as to work inside and outside confined or restricted access spaces
CE5: Willing and able to work overtime as required
CE6: Willing and able to participate in 24/7/365 emergency Facility standby coverage
