The immediate need is to fill one term position.
A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established to fill positions at the same group and level or equivalent and level at Elections Canada, with various linguistics profiles: French or English essential, bilingual imperative (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC) on a temporary or permanent basis.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or in statistics.
*Candidates must have a post-secondary degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience using social sciences research methods and approaches.
• Experience analyzing and synthesizing different types of data.
• Experience drafting reports, presentations or briefing materials to accurately present research or analysis findings.
• Experience using a statistical software (for example SAS, SPSS, STATA, Python or R ).
NOTE: The experience must have been acquired in a work environment for a minimum of 12 months.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
• A Master's degree from a recognized university with specialization in a field related to the position.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in survey design or rollout.
• Experience working with large-scale databases.

Information on employment equity
Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the selected candidate will work remotely from his/her residence location until further notice. When the decision is made for Elections Canada employees to return to the workplace, the successful candidate is expected to work at the traditional workplace located at 30, Victoria Street, in Gatineau with the possibility of a flexible work schedule that also fosters telework on request or upon need.
IMPORTANT: Candidates from outside the public service may be required to pay for travel and relocation costs associated with this selection process.
