Intent of the process

The intent of this appointment process is to establish a fully assessed pool of qualified candidates. However, the results of this process may be used to staff same or similar positions for future vacancies of various tenures at Public Services and Procurement Canada in the Ontario Region.

Your résumé.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of post secondary education at a recognized institution in Geomatics, engineering or related field.

Degree equivalency

Experience in Geomatics with specialization in conducting legal land surveys.

Experience in the maintenance and use of land information systems.

Experience in performing survey computations.

Experience in the use of CADD.

Experience using databases and spread sheets.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Member of a Geomatics organization such as: Canadian Institute of Geomatics (CIG), The Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA), Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) or similar organization for more than 2 years

Experience using Geographic information systems (GIS).

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

Knowledge of Ontario statutes related to Geomatics

Knowledge of the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors (AOLS) regulations.

Reliability Status security clearance

Able and willing to travel on occasion.

Possession of a valid driver’s license or personal mobility to the extent normally associated with the possession of a driver’s license.
