The intent of this advertisement is to create an inventory of professionals. We want to attract top talent who can fill current and future vacancies within the RCMP Security Branch. The inventory may be used to staff identical or similar AS-01/ADM-01 positions on a temporary or permanent basis. The required qualifications will vary depending on the position to be filled, including language and security requirements, conditions of employment.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience in a field relevant to the work to be performed.
EXPERIENCE:
Exp1. Recent* experience in searching, retrieving and/or compiling data from a variety of sources.
Exp2. Recent* and Significant** experience working with Microsoft Office Suite software including MS Word, MS Excel AND Web browser applications (internet).
Exp3. Experience in preparing correspondence, documents, and/or reports.
Exp4. Experience processing protected/classified documents and/or sensitive information.
*Recent is defined as duties being performed within the last three years.
**Significant is defined as a depth and breadth of experience normally acquired with having performed a broad range of duties for a minimum of one (1) year.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
AE1. Experience in providing advice or guidance to clients in an office environment.
AE2. Experience in a security operations environment.
AE3. Experience processing security-related documentation.
AE4. Experience processing Personnel Security Screening requests.
AE5. Experience in providing detailed security evaluations, threat and risk assessments.
AE6. Experience responding to inquiries for information relevant to the functions of Departmental Security or RCMP.
AE7. Experience in analyzing risk and applying mitigation utilizing Government Policy on Security, Treasury Board Personnel Security Standards and/or RCMP Personnel Security Policy.
AE8. Experience using CPIC, Intelex, JEIN, ACISS, IIS, Equifax, CSIS and Microsoft Dynamics.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be willing and able to work extended overtime hours sometimes on short notice to meet operational needs.
Must be willing and able to travel.
Top Secret security clearance - NOTE: Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP Top Secret security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain RCMP security clearance involves a security/reliability interview and a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity which includes reference checks, verification of credit/financial status, education, employment, etc. As such, the process may take several weeks or months to complete.
