Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this process is to staff vacant positions.

EDUCATION:
Secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).

Note 1:
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:

• A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, for example:

a) Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in building design with a least five (5) years of experience in conception and estimation.
b) Collegial Attestation Certificate or Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in a field related to the field of application.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
• EXP-01: Recent and significant experience (see Note 1) in providing technical and specialized advice on complex issues regarding systems relating to the component for which you are applying (mechanical, architectural or building electrical).

EXP-02: Recent and significant experience (see Note 1) in carrying out technical surveys of the main and auxiliary systems relating to the component for which you are applying (mechanics, architect or building electricity).

Note 1:
• “Recent” experience means approximately five (5) years within the last ten (10) years.
• “Significant” experience means having experience relating to the complexity and variety of tasks demonstrated.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
• AS-01: Post-secondary diploma in building systems technology (221-C0) or in a field related to the position to be filled.
• AS-02: Post-secondary diploma in architectural technology (221.A0) or in a field related to the position to be filled.
• AS-03: Post-secondary diploma in electrical technology (243-D0) or in a field related to the position to be filled.

Degree equivalency

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
• AS-11: Electricity Competency Card recognized by the CCQ.
• AS-12: Electricity certificate (CE), recognized by Emploi Québec.
• AS-13: Switchgear connection certificate (RCA).
• AS-14: Piping certificate (CT).
• AS-15: Plumbing certificate (CP).
• AS-16: Heating certificate (CC).
• AS-17: Stationary enginemen certificate.
• AS-18: ASP Construction card on construction site safety.

EXPERIENCE:
• AS-04: Experience in commissioning of building systems.
• AS-05: Design experience in HVAC systems.
• AS-06: Experience in project management.
• AS-07: Experience in computer-assisted system maintenance management.
• AS-08: Experience in Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD), particularly with Autocad software.
• AS-09: Design experience in electrical systems.
• AS-10: Experience in electrical safety.
