EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree or a diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in Geomatics, Cartography, Geography, or in an acceptable related discipline such as Engineering, Physical Sciences, Nautical Science or Remote Sensing.
EXPERIENCE
Experience using Computer Aided Drafting software (e.g. AutoCAD).
Experience in the acquisition of hydrographic data with sophisticated echo sounder systems.
Experience in bathymetric data processing and production of related drawings or reports.
Experience providing geomatics services in support of marine construction or safe navigation.
Experience working in a marine environment such as Hydrography, Oceanography, or similar.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness and ability to work in and around construction sites, wharf sites and remote locations.
Requirement to wear and maintain safety footwear, and personal protective equipment.
Requirement to work on land or at sea for prolonged periods of time and at times in adverse weather conditions.
Willingness to travel frequently by car, boat or plane for short or long periods of time.
Willingness to work overtime.
Willing and able to attend training required for field operations.
Reliability Status security clearance
Possession of a valid Provincial Driver’s License OR personal mobility to the extent normally associated with the possession of a valid driver’s license, within the limits of Treasury Board Policy.
