Duties

• Participate in financial activities on a pre-determined recurrence or on an ad hoc basis (such as multi-year planning (including the work plan), updating of reference levels, periodic forecasts reviews, cost allocation model) . Perform preliminary financial analysis before presenting them to the senior financial advisor and discuss the issues noted with the latter.
• Maintain financial information systems, track budgets and revenues and expenses. Provide information and functional guidance to managers of client branches on the intricacies and issues associated with various financial management activities.
• Contribute to the reporting activities including the preparation and development of financial reports and result analysis as well as activities related to business cases and activity-based costing.
• Participate in the various stages from the development to the implementation of financial management processes, practices and procedures.

Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this selection process is to staff one (1) determinate position.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar or identical positions with different tenures, various linguistic profiles and security clearance within Public Services and Procurement Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
EXP 1: Recent* experience in at least one (1) of the following areas:
• Resource planning and resource management
• Financial Operations (accounting transactions)
• Cost Analysis
• Financial Systems
• Financial Reporting
• Audit

EXP 2: Recent experience* in extracting and analyzing financial data.

Definition:
*By recent experience, we mean an experience of one (1) year in the last two (2) years.
