The intent of this process is to staff one (1) permanent position in Wainwright, AB.
A qualified pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on a term and/or permanent basis in Eastern Alberta District within the RCMP. The pool could be used to offer acting appointments, assignments, secondments or deployments.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Your résumé.
• A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*.
*Proof of education will be required prior to appointment.
• Experience providing administrative support services including: ordering office supplies, maintaining a budget, and scheduling.
• Experience providing advice and/or recommendations on administrative practices.
• Experience providing services to internal and external clients via telephone, in person and in writing.
• Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience maintaining a law enforcement database such as CPIC and/or PROS.
• Experience liaising with court representatives or officials, or preparing court disclosure packages.
• Experience providing administrative, financial and/or operational support in a police environment.
• Experience interpreting policies or procedures.
• Experience in providing records management services such as indexing, cross-referencing, filing, retrieving, retaining, archiving or destroying data.
• Experience in employee supervision, including assigning work, scheduling and monitoring performance.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Willingness and ability to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as required.
• Willingness and ability to travel for work and/or training purposes using various modes of transportation.
• Willingness and ability to maintain a valid class 5 driver's license.
• RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status security clearance.
