Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario (FedNor) is the Government of Canada's economic development organization for Northern Ontario. Through its programs and services, and through its financial support of projects that lead to job creation and economic growth, FedNor works with businesses and community partners to build a stronger Northern Ontario.
Process intent is to fill one (1) indeterminate and one (1) determinate position
A pool of qualified candidates may be created to staff similar positions within FEDNOR with various language requirements and various tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, specified period, assignment, secondment).

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in auditing financial information.
- Experience generating and analysing financial reports.
- Experience monitoring projects and/or deliverables, including the assessment of risk and development of mitigation strategies.
- Experience in providing customer service.
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of practices related to auditing and verification.
ASSET - EDUCATION
- Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA).
ASSET - EXPERIENCE
- Experience providing guidance to managers on policies and guidelines.
- Experience in conducting research and analyzing data.
- Experience with information management (IM) practices specific to the area of FedNor operations.
- Experience with transfer payments
- Experience with FedNor grants and contributions (G&C) programs, policies and procedures

ASSESSEMENT INFORMATION
You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Depending on the number of applicants, volume management strategies such as random selection, top-down approach and/or establishing cut-off scores to determine who will continue in the staffing process, may be used for the purpose of managing applications. Please note that although you may attain the established pass mark on any of the assessments used in this staffing process, management may decide to use a higher cut off score.
Asset qualifications may be used in the determination of those to be given further consideration in the assessment process.
