► The intent of this selection process is to staff multiple positions, in the following regions: Ottawa (ON); Vancouver/Victoria (BC); Calgary/Edmonton(AB); Halifax(NS); or Fredericton (NB).
►Additionally, a pool of (fully or partially qualified) candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at the AS-04 group and level within Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or permanent), various language requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential, or Bilingual), linguistic requirements (imperative and/or non-imperative) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, etc.), various security requirements, various conditions of employment and for various locations.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience within the security field.
EXPERIENCE (all streams):
► EX01: Recent* experience assisting in developing or implementing policies and/or procedures in a security or emergency management operational environment, in relations to one of the above-noted streams.
► EX02: Recent* experience in provision of advice based on the interpretation of Government of Canada policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines related to operational security, business continuity, or emergency management.
► EX03: Experience participating in working groups, collaborating and maintaining a network with internal and external stakeholders.
► EX04: Experience in preparing briefings, reports or presentations to management**.
*Recent means within the last five (5) years.
**Management means EX minus one or higher.
*** Significant means a minimum of 2 years.

ST1EX01 Experience in conducting physical security threat and risk assessments for facilities/programs and recommending mitigation measures, such as security procedures, guidelines, and safeguards.
► Stream 2: Emergency Management
ST2EX01 Experience working in an emergency management environment and dealing with authorities (i.e., an operations center or in a similar challenging environment related to emergency management).
ST2EX02 Experience working with several stakeholders.
► Stream 3: Business Continuity
ST3EX01 Experience working with several stakeholders.
► Stream 4: Investigations
ST4EX01: Significant*** experience in conducting security related investigations and interviews
► Stream 7: Security Threat and Risk Assessment

Candidates must provide proof of education credentials upon request.
Candidates with foreign education credentials are required to provide proof of Canadian equivalency.
Foreign certificates and/or diplomas must be assessed against Canadian education standards. The federal public service will accept any Foreign Educational Credentials as long as they are deemed comparable to Canadian standards, determined by a recognized credential assessment service.
