The position is located at 1426 St. Joseph Boulevard, Orléans, Ontario.
The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of English Essential and an RCMP Top Secret security clearance
A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Your résumé.
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering, geological engineering, naval architecture or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
AND/OR
Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position (some positions may require eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada without regard for the field of specialization).
EX1: *Recent experience in network design and functionality of wireless and wireline communication systems with emphasis on new and emerging technologies.
EX2: *Recent experience with communication protocols used to design and integrate Canadian wireline, wireless such as 5G, LTE, Volte, Wi-Fi, VoIP etc.
EX3: *Recent experience in Networking, inspecting network traces, and building and managing Virtual Machines on Linux.
EX4: *Recent experience in the design of test plans, organization of field trials and acceptance testing.
EX5: *Recent experience in developing software application using programming and scripting languages such as Python, Shell, PHP, Java.
*Recent experience refers to experience gained within the last three (3) years.

Top Secret security clearance - All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.
