POSITION LOCATION:
This position is located in Ottawa; however, the successful candidate may work from one of the OSFI offices across Canada (Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, or Vancouver).
As a result of the global pandemic, OSFI employees are currently working from home. Should the current telework environment no longer apply, and contingent on the operating model adopted by OSFI, you may be required to report into and work onsite from one of the following offices: Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, or Vancouver. The immediate need is to staff one position with a language requirement of English essential on an indeterminate basis.
A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security requirements and/or various tenures within the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
- A degree from a post-secondary institution with specialization in computer science, accounting, management information systems (MIS), business, commerce, economics mathematics, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed OR an acceptable combination of relevant professional industry experience and education.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
Candidates are required to have approximately five (5) years of experience in one of the following criteria and approximately two (2) years of experience in the other criterion.
- Experience* using business analysis techniques within an information technology (IT) environment.
- Experience* leading IT projects in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Candidates are required to have approximately two (2) years of experience in each of the following criteria:
- Experience* conducting interviews and workshops to map out process flows
- Experience* capturing business requirements in the form of user stories
- Experience* leading scrum meetings and managing project backlogs
* Experience is defined as actively performing the duties on a regular basis, where “actively performing the duties on a regular basis” means that at least two days out of a five-day work week would typically be spent performing the duty.
ASSET EDUCATION:
- Certification(s) related to project management (Ex. PMP, ACP, etc.)
- Certification(s) related to business analysis (Ex. IIBA, PBA, etc.)

OSFI is a separate agency with its own classification and compensation system. OSFI's staffing is subject to the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA).
