Assessment accommodation

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.

Intent of the process

The intent will be to staff a temporary position for approximately two (2) years, however, a list of qualified candidates resulting from this process may be used to fill similar positions within Fisheries and Oceans with various language requirements, tenures and security requirements which may vary according to the position being staffed.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES:
- Recent* and significant** experience conducting research and organizing documents for use in complex matters.
- Recent* and significant** experience in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Recent* and significant** experience managing multiple issues in an environment with tight deadlines
and shifting priorities.
- Experience in preparing analytical summaries for use in complex matters.
- Experience drafting or editing a variety of information products intended to support senior management.

*Recent experience is defined as experience that was normally acquired within the last five years.
**Significant experience is defined as experience that was a core part of the applicant's work and that would normally be acquired over a period of two years or more by performing the full range of activities noted.

ASSET EDUCATION:
Minimum of 1 year post-secondary education in law or a related field, such as paralegal or criminology.

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCES:
- Experience in project management.
- Experience working with Information Management Systems for the purposes of research and support of delivery of programs or services.
- Experience working in a law related environment.
