About Us
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is the federal government agency responsible for administering sentences of a term of two years or more, as imposed by the courts. CSC is responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under conditional release in the community.
Our Mission
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC), as part of the criminal justice system and respecting the rule of law, contributes to public safety by actively encouraging and assisting offenders to become law-abiding citizens, while exercising reasonable, safe, secure and humane control.
This inventory is for casual employment which is a temporary employment of 90 working days or less, in a calendar year.

Information on language requirements
EDUCATION
• A secondary school diploma or successful completion of a provincially / territorially approved secondary school equivalency test, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
• Experience using computer programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and electronic mail.
• Experience cleaning in either commercial, multi residential or institutional environment.
• Experience using and maintaining mechanical equipment.
KNOWLEDGE
• Knowledge of janitorial supplies, their use as well as handling and storage.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and/or procedures.
• Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and practices.
