Duties

The Team Leader, Data & Systems within the Private Pension Plans Division (PPPD), along with a small team of one or two people, is responsible for ensuring the efficient collection, analysis, and management of federally regulated pension plans’ data. The Team Leader will support PPPD’s pensions systems team by managing the day-to-day operations of pensions systems from the business perspective, and lead or participate in PPPD projects as required. The Team Leader will:
• Act as liaison between PPPD and internal and external OSFI stakeholders with respect to managing information and services;
• Provide technical expertise to effectively manage PPPD’s data and information holdings;
• Manage the annual review (and update, where necessary) of pension regulatory returns (forms);
• Identify issues and make recommendations on system fixes, enhancements and, where applicable, the need for new systems. Manage the implementation of these changes from the business perspective by coordinating their release with the different operational areas, developing requirements and testing changes, communicating with staff and management, and ensuring timely implementation;
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc data reports, update changes to forms and ensure accuracy of those reports and forms; and,
• Participate in special assignments/projects that affect PPPD’s internal systems, corporate reporting requirements or operational processes.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one (1) position with a language requirement of English Essential on an indeterminate basis.
