In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

A secondary school diploma or an employer approved alternatives such as an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience in operating cranes.
Experience reading load charts to determine safe lifts on crane.
Experience maintaining accurate logbooks.
Experience in safe rigging practices
Experience with performing preventative maintenance on cranes

Journeyman - Mobile Crane and or Tower Crane Operator.

Experience in operating and maintaining Rail Mounted Level Luffing cranes.

Knowledge of Acts, Codes and Regulations related to Graving Dock operations.
Knowledge of safe operating procedures of Esquimalt Graving Dock (EGD) cranes.
Knowledge of maintenance program for EGD cranes.
Knowledge of environmental responsibilities at EGD.
Knowledge of caisson operations.

Required to climb ladders to access cranes;
Required to work at heights in excess of 200 feet; and
Required to wear all applicable personal protective equipment.
