SIGMA is Public Services and Procurement Canada’s (PSPC) in-service support team for the Government of Canada’s (GC) most comprehensive financial, procurement and real property SAP system. Intent of the process

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates will be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions with various language or security requirements, tenures as well as various locations within Public Services and Procurement Canada.

EDUCATION:

• A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note).

Note:
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are: A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

APPLIES ONLY FOR STREAM AS-04:
• Significant* experience using a financial and materiel management system (FMS) (ex: SAP, Oracle, FreeBalance) or a Business Intelligence (BI) or Business Warehouse (BW) solution in at least one (1) of the following areas:

o Operational support;
o Requirement management;
o In-service support**;
o Training;
o Quality assurance; or
o System control.

*“Significant experience” is defined as the breadth and depth of experience associated with completing the duties of the position for a period of at least one (1) year.

**“In-service support” is defined as specialized FMS business operations support, including a responsive service desk, to FMS clients and end users.

• Experience in analyzing and resolving issues related to financial and materiel management (FMS) or business system.

APPLIES ONLY FOR STREAM AS-05:

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status.
