On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
The organization will accept applications on-line only. All job applications must therefore be submitted through the Public Service Resourcing System.
Could this be the change you’ve been looking for?
Do you like working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment that values service excellence? Are you looking for a chance to make your mark in a small organization that plays a big role in providing justice to Canadians? If so, consider a career at the Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada (ATSSC).
You’ll be able to benefit and learn from being closer to management and having the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of files. We’re also committed to supporting a healthy life-work balance and to creating an inclusive and respectful work environment, so we hope that this is something that is important to you as well.
Like many public servants, we’ve been working mostly remotely since the pandemic began and employees have access to tools and processes to conduct most aspects of their work remotely.
And if there is one last thing to note that is impactful for our employees, it's the fact that we have our own internal compensation and benefits Advisors and a dedicated information technology team.
How to Apply:
Respond to Screening Questions.
We strongly encourage you, when providing your answers, to provide concrete examples to illustrate how you meet each criterion identified in the questions. When drafting your responses to the experience qualifications, we encourage you to follow this format:
Please explain how you meet this requirement. Describe where, when, indicating specific work periods (e.g. ATSSC - Oct. 2017 to Feb. 2019) and how you obtained the required experience with specific examples. By providing the required information in the suggested format, you will ensure that the assessors are in a position to assess the depth, complexity and scope of your experience.
Asset Qualifications:
You must indicate "NO" if you do not have experience in performing a task listed in the section entitled "Asset Qualifications". Responding “NO” to one or more of these non-essential experience questions will not result in the rejection of your application. If you answer “YES” to a non-essential experience question, you should provide information in the format mentioned above to ensure that the assessors are in a position to assess the depth, complexity, and scope of your experience. This will ensure that you can be considered for a specific appointment where asset qualifications would be used.
The intent of this advertisement is to staff two (2) positions on an indeterminate basis.
A fully or partially assessed pool may be created and may be used to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various linguistic requirements, tenures and security clearances within the Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada (ATSSC).
