Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis.

a pool of qualified candidates will be established to staff temporary and/or permanent positions, (including acting appointments and deployments) and other similar positions.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Notes:
1. Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.
2. It is the recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.

Degree equivalency

Experience in IT Asset Management Life Cycle.

Significant experience administering users/resources with Microsoft Active Directory

Significant experience with Microsoft Exchange/Outlook 2016 environments or later.

Recent and **significant experience troubleshooting end user computer and software problems including Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office 2016 products or later and Windows 10 operating systems or later.

Top Secret security clearance - of the RCMP.
