***NOTE: As part of Statistics Canada’s Northern Recruitment Campaign, we are soliciting the applications of individuals currently residing in the Northern Territories (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut)**. As such, job offer will be given to those *already* located only in the Northern Territories.
- Oversees daily collection operations to ensure adherence to pre-determined targets;
- Directly supervises a group of interviewers (includes recruitment, training, scheduling, performance management and evaluation and approval of pay/leave/travel claims);
- Conducts data gathering activities using a variety of interviewing techniques, methodologies and technologies in support of statistical programs;
- Conducts field sampling operations including the verification of sample areas and the application of sampling ratios;
- Supports interviewers in handling difficult respondents or situations and participates in data collection as required to obtain respondent participation.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions of various tenures in various locations, based on operational needs.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience may be accepted.
EXPERIENCE
EXP1. Experience in supervising staff which must include at least THREE (3) of the following
*managing and/or directing the work of others
*setting performance expectations
*monitoring performance on a regular basis
*providing coaching and/or training
*Experience in scheduling employees
*Experience reviewing and processing pay
EXP2. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
