A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various bilingual linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in history, history of art, anthropology or some other specialty relevant to the position.
-Experience in conducting historical research
-Experience in communicating the results of research in a range of media, including but not limited to written reports, presentations, and articles
-Experience in summarizing historical documents
-Experience building cooperative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, partners and clients
-Experience working on multiple initiatives or projects concurrently
-Master degree or PhD in history, history of art, anthropology or some other specialty relevant to the position

Information on employment equity
On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service. As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
Candidates must meet all essential qualifications to be appointed to a position. This will be determined through the use of various evaluation tools.
