As a Procurement Officer, you will work in the field of contracting and purchasing goods and services, provide advice and recommendations to others, and prepare and manage contract documents for goods and services, including Requests for Proposals.

Please note: as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are working remotely. If you are appointed to this position, PacifiCan will provide tools and equipment to support remote work. As public health restrictions ease, the successful candidate may be expected to report to the office.
PacifiCan offices are open environments with well-regulated air quality, ergonomic sit/stand workstations, and a combination of natural and fluorescent lighting. The physical demands of this position includes spending a significant amount of time working on a computer.

Education:
• A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
• Recent* and significant** experience in the field of contracting or procurement (purchasing) of goods and services.
• Recent* and significant** experience in providing advice and recommendations to clients and managers in regards to procurement and/or contract questions.
• Recent* and significant** experience in preparing and managing contract documents for goods and services contracts, including Request for Proposals (RFP).
*“Recent” experience is defined as experience normally acquired within the last five (5) years.
**“Significant” experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of duties for approximately one (1) year. Experience may include paid or volunteer work.
