Carry out all the tasks associated with the research projects including but not limited to:
Collecting data in the field, working with insects, insect rearing, participating and supporting and potentially leading various research projects, working in teams.
Entomology laboratory of the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu Research and Development Centre in a dynamic team composed of a researcher, a research assistant, a master's student and two other students. This research program in entomology of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has exciting reseach project in physical and biological pest control both in the field on its experimental farms and with producers, as well as in greenhouses and in the laboratory.
The student research assistant at the Agassiz Research and Development Centre will work as part of a dynamic research team including undergraduate research assistants, graduate students, a technician, and a research scientist. This research program conducts a wide variety of research on beneficial and pest insect biology and ecology, integrated pest management, invasion biology, and insect pathogens (viruses) on its experimental farm, in greenhouse facilities, and with small fruit producers.
For both sites, applicants must be able to travel for the duration of the program.

Education:
Currently enrolled or enrolled before the date of appointment (May 9) in a bachelor's degree program at a recognize post-secondary educational institution with a specialization in: Biology, Ecology, Entomology, Environmental Sciences, Environment, Agronomy, or others related sciences.
Experience:
Experience* in carrying out projects and working in the field.
*In the context of student recruitment to the federal public service, experience can be acquired through studies, work experience or volunteer activities.
