The Jordan's Principle Directorate is composed of several complementary teams, specializing in policy development, front line operations, audits and evaluation, finance, and business analytics. These team's work in collaboration with each other and partners like Synergy in Action, to ensure the services provided through Jordan's Principle have meaningful and long-term impacts on the outcomes of Indigenous children.

Duties

As senior team leader of a key Analytics and Data Science team within ISC, you will be integral to the implementation of analytics driven projects that may have sweeping and immediate impacts on frontline operations and systematic service delivery issues faced by the Government in this new digital world. If you are passionate about combining your experience in business intelligence, analytics, statistics, data mining, and/or data science with great people skills and a knack for seeing the “bigger picture”, you may be a perfect fit for this position.

In this senior role, you will be responsible for leading 5 to 15 technical resources, developing a vision for your team and garnering support from Senior Management to execute that vision. You will be overseeing the execution of multiple projects conducted in partnership with internal partners and program clients. This includes building and maintaining key relationships with senior management, supporting your team to execute project needs/scope, managing risks, managing client expectations and delivering a data driven environment.

As senior team leader, you will be empowering your team to find creative ways to solve the problems they encounter. You will deftly navigate departmental conditions to ensure stakeholder buy-in and the successful execution of projects under your purview. The health of your team will be critical, this includes supporting their professional development, providing technical feedback on data projects, and ensuring they see how their work relates to the strategic objectives of the department.

Members of the Business Analytics arm may also be versed in and provided R, Python, or programs that use DAX and/or T-SQL.
