Intent of the process

Immediate need: 1 full-time permanent position (bilingual).

A pool of qualified and/or partially qualified candidates may be established and used to staff similar positions on a temporary or permanent basis.

In the event that an employee of the public service is qualified through this process, and there is a temporary need, he/she may be considered for acting, deployment, assignment or secondment opportunities.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Secondary school diploma OR acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience coordinating the collection and dissemination of briefing materials.
Experience managing or organizing the daily agenda for management (such as: meetings, conferences, travel and training).
Experience in the preparation and management of correspondence and information (for example: composing, editing, formatting, controlling, tracking, filing correspondence and briefing notes, emails, compilation of information or project data into an electronic information system).
Experience reviewing, proof-reading and editing a wide range of text from a style, content, format and linguistic perspective.
Experience in the provision of administrative support services.
Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.

Graduation with a diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, in a field relevant to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience working in a senior manager’s office.
Experience using a correspondence tracking system.
Experience providing functional guidance (training) and supervising staff.
Experience coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements using a travel management tool.
Experience liaising with offices of any or all of the following: senior executives, management, clients.
