On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.

The intent of the selection process is to create an inventory of qualified bilingual candidates at the CR-04 (CK-04) level.
The inventory of qualified candidates will be use to staff various positions of varying tenures, including term and indeterminate appointments, of varying bilingual imperative linguistic profiles and varying security levels within the RCMP in the National Capital Region.
Random selection may be used at any time during the process to identify which applicants from the inventory will be assessed.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member.

Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives
Experience in providing service to clients or public by telephone, in person and/or in writing
Experience in performing clerical duties such as, but not limited to: filing, processing mail, data-entry, using a bring-forward (BF) system, scanning documents, preparing correspondence, etc.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
Various Bilingual Imperative Profiles (minimum BBB/BBB)
*Please note that all positions being staffed from this selection process are bilingual. Therefore, all candidates who are considering applying should be willing and ready to be tested for Reading, Writing and Oral proficiency in their second official language (English or French). This testing is administered by the Public Service Commission (PSC) via Second Language Evaluations (SLE).

Various RCMP security clearance depending on the position to be staffed:
- RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status security clearance
- RCMP ERS with Secret security clearance
- RCMP ERS with Top Secret security clearance
Candidates selected for appointment will have to obtain and maintain an RCMP Security Clearance. This process requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of criminal activities, credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.
