On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Duties

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will:

• Create awareness of federal procurement opportunities and the Procurement Assistance Canada (PAC) mandate throughout the Atlantic region.
• Facilitate and host seminars and webinars, one-on-one consultations, and presentations to large and diverse suppliers and other stakeholders virtually or in person.
• Participate in planning and execution of target PAC outreach and engagement initiatives.
• Promote federal procurement opportunities, education and knowledge transfer to support businesses.
• Provide presentations on the procurement topics such as: procurement modernization, electronic procurement system, and major procurements.
• Promote and support various procurement priorities of the Government of Canada including innovation and green and social procurement initiatives (green businesses, businesses owned or led by women, businesses owned by Indigenous peoples, businesses in minority official language communities, and businesses in multicultural communities).

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC)’s Procurement Assistance Canada (PAC) in the Atlantic Region provides a diverse and inclusive work environment, often in a virtual context backed by a small yet strong and integrated team. Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one (1) position on an indeterminate basis, with a bilingual imperative CBC/CBC linguistic profile, in one of the following locations: Halifax, NS, Sydney, NS, Moncton, NB, Saint John, NB, Charlottetown, PEI, Corner Brook, NL or St. John's, NL. A pool of candidates may be established through this process to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various linguistic requirements and various security profiles at Public Services and Procurement Canada in the Atlantic Region.

Education:
A secondary school diploma (High School) or employer-approved alternatives.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

1. Significant* experience in stakeholder** engagement.

*Significant is defined as experience associated with having performed a range of engagement activities undertaken on a regular basis for approximately 2 years. Examples include: delivering presentations, facilitating meetings and participation at industry events or academic conferences.

**Stakeholders include, but are not limited to other levels of government, non-governmental organizations, academia, industry, or other groups.

2. Experience providing advice to management/senior officials using two of the following: proposals, reports, or presentations

3. Experience working effectively on a project or an initiative within a multidisciplinary team.

2. Experience acquiring goods and/or services using various procurement or purchasing methods.
