On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate(permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring.

The Supervisor, Facilities Management, manages and directs financial resources, contractors, and maintenance personnel as necessary to maintain a Correctional Service of Canada Institution in accordance with CSC maintenance service delivery standards and applicable legislated and regulatory requirements.
The Technical Services, Prairie Region, of Correctional Service Canada is a stimulating and dynamic environment whose mission is to ensure the operation, compliance and sustainability of a real estate portfolio of more than $ 8 billion dollars in an operational environment . We are responsible for institutions and penitentiary clusters as well as parole offices and community correctional centers located throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The facilities we manage are diverse such as buildings and structures, building mechanics systems, electrical distribution networks, infrastructures, generators, oil tanks, thermal power stations, water treatment and purification plants, roads, fences and barriers, and automobile fleets to name only those.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff positions of various tenures including permanent or temporary.

Education
A secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience
- Experience supervising the delivery of infrastructure or equipment maintenance and construction services to a large facility*.
* Facility is defined as a building and grounds which are similar in size to a correctional institution, hospital, airport, shopping mall, or college campus.
- Experience supervising employees and contractors.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Graduation with a degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering.
- Completion of a Post Secondary College Certificate or Diploma program, or apprenticeship accreditation program, resulting in certification in at least one of the following:
• Journeyman Trade Certification in a Building or Mechanic Trade, or
• Building Systems Technician, or
• Facilities Technician, or
• Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Technician, or
• Civil, mechanical, or electronic Technologist, or
• Stationary or Power Engineer or
• Professional management certification in a program relevant to facilities management such as: BOMA Maintenance Management Professional, or Asset Management Professional, or acceptable equivalent or
• Engineering degree in a discipline relevant to facility maintenance
OR an acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience
Experience
- Experience working in correctional facilty.
- Experience managing projects in either a facilities infrastructure, equipment maintenance or construction environment.
