When a manager has a vacancy for a specific position, they may request a number of random referrals to consider for their position(s). If there are qualified persons in the inventory pool, they may consider those already assessed. Once a candidate has been assessed, and found qualified, they will be placed into the pool of qualified persons and may be referred for future permanent or temporary vacancies.

When submitting an application to this selection process, you will be prompted to answer screening questions concerning the essential education, and the essential and asset experience qualifications. It is your responsibility to respond fully to each question. Should you indicate in your response "please refer to CV/resume" OR you cut and paste the identical response in any of your responses your application will be rejected. Your responses MUST BE limited to no more than two short paragraphs. The RCMP “E” Division Headquarters is located in beautiful Surrey, B.C. at 14200 Green Timbers Way. We are situated near the heart of downtown Surrey, near Skytrain and transit. This large headquarters houses several of the integrated operations, senior management and corporate services to support the priorities of the RCMP in British Columbia and the Yukon. “E” Division RCMP provides federal and provincial services throughout the province and policing to all but 12 municipalities. Positions in corporate services range from working in Human Resources, Finance, Assets & Procurement, Information Management, Security, etc. Positions in operational environments may include supporting traffic services, occupational safety, federal policing, major crime or specialized policing services. This inventory will be used to staff positions at RCMP E Division Headquarters at 14200 Green Timbers Way, Surrey, BC.
A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future permanent or temporary vacancies in similar or lower-level positions.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Security clearance/reliability is a condition of employment. Various levels of security clearance/reliability is required for these positions, including some positions requiring Top Secret clearance.

If a qualified candidate has been selected and appointed on an indeterminate basis from the established pool, they will be removed from the pool. If a candidate is selected for a specified period (including term, acting, or assignment/secondment) appointment, they will remain in the pool for future offers.
If a candidate accepts a term position, they will not be referred further to temporary (term) positions. They can remain in the pool for permanent positions.
Experience qualifications will be assessed upon application. Further confirmation or assessment may be conducted through reference checks.
