On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. EDUCATION:
• Graduation with an acceptable doctoral degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field of the natural sciences related to the duties of the position, or the employer-approved alternative for the SE classification. (See Note 1).
Note:
1. The employer-approved alternative for the SE classification is an acceptable master’s or bachelor’s degree coupled with acceptable research, training and experience. The degree must be from a recognized post-secondary institution and in scientific fields and specialties related to the duties of the position. The training and experience must clearly demonstrate the ability to do personal research of doctoral degree caliber.
EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in a supervisory role in a field related to the mining or minerals industry;
• Experience in the supervision of human and financial resources associated with a group of technical and scientific personnel, including staffing, supervision, and budget preparation and control;
• Experience in planning activities in research, development, promotion, commercialization and implementation of technologies in a field related to the position;
• Experience effectively preparing written reports on technical and economic issues related to the position.
