Duties

This position is responsible for the provision of stores’ services for the St-Hyacinthe, Quebec Research Centre.

The successful candidate will order, plan, and maintain inventory in the Stores Unit as well as ensure security of Stores inventory. The candidate will provide shipping and receiving services for clients. Duties will also include maintaining lab coats, keys, and assigning parking stalls for clients as well as pick up and drop off of general mail.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one (1) full-time permanent position

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures, linguistic requirements and security requirements within AAFC.

In the event that an employee of the public service is qualified through this process, and there is a temporary need, he/she may be considered for acting, deployment, assignment or secondment opportunities.

Experience:
Recent experience in receiving and shipping freight and mail.
Recent experience in the use of computerized material management systems.
Experience in providing customer support services.

Experience in using an integrated financial management system (eg: SAP, Acomba, etc.).
