This position is classified at the RE-05 level. The PE-05 group and level is identified as an equivalency only.
FCAC is a small separate agency established by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada Act and subject to the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). We offer the same pension and benefits plans as the core public administration. We are seeking to staff one (1) indeterminate (permanent) position.
This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
E1 Significant* experience writing, reviewing and evaluating job descriptions.
E2 Experience in organisational design, including its assessment and implementation.
E3 Significant* experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to management on human resources issues.
E4 Significant* experience developing and maintaining client relations OR strategic partnerships internally and externally (for example with other government departments or central agencies).
* Significant will be evaluated in terms of depth and breadth of activities, complexity and diversity of work performed, and level of autonomy. This is normally associated with having performed a broad range of activities, and normally acquired over a period of approximately 3 years or more.
AE1 Certification OR accreditation in classification
AE2 Certificate in Hay Methodology (EX or Non-EX)
AE3 Experience in applying the Hay Evaluation method for job evaluation including drafting classification rationales for executive or non-executive level positions.
AE4 Experience writing documents for management, such as reports, presentations and briefing notes

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service and asked separate agencies to implement policies mirroring the requirements announced for the rest of the public service.
As per the new FCAC Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination, employees must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
