We are a dynamic team responsible to maintain 3 full flight simulators (FFS)* used by Transport Canada (C550 and C90A) and the Canadian Coast Guard (Bell 412EPI and Bell 429). We have a wide range of simulator technologies, so there is always something to learn and repair. We are a small team of 7 members supported by knowledgeable instructors that work closely with us to ensure the FFS are representative of their aircrafts. We rotate through two shifts 7:00-15:00 and 14:30 – 22:30 - flexible to adjust depending on personal needs. The intent of this process is to staff one (1) indeterminate position.
A pool of qualified candidates may be created to staff similar positions at Transport Canada within the National Capital Region.
Candidates will have to meet ALL the essential qualifications advertised in this job opportunity in order to be placed in the pool of qualified candidates.

Education
ED1: A secondary school diploma AND a completion of an acceptable program in
electronics technology OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
NOTE: Normally, an acceptable training program in electronics technology involves the completion of two to three years of post-secondary study in this subject.
Experience
EX1: Experience in troubleshooting hardware and/or software systems.
EX2: Experience in the operation and maintenance of full flight simulators that are qualified to Level “D” Transport Canada or equivalent and flight training devices.
Experience
AEX1: Experience in the operation and maintenance of avionics and aircraft systems.
AEX2: Experience in software debugging and programming
AEX3: Experience as a supervisor.
