Our team is located at 73 Leikin Drive in Ottawa, Ontario (Barrhaven), in a modern building with plenty of free parking, convenient access to bus routes immediately outside of the building, free use of a gym, and a cafeteria onsite.
The immediate need is to staff two positions on an indeterminate basis, with various linguistic profiles of Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB and English Essential and that require Enhanced Reliability status with Secret Security Clearance.
A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

EDUCATION
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in accounting, business administration, commerce, finance or some other specialty relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE
EX1 – Recent and significant* experience participating in the planning and conducting of at least one of the following: Audits; Reviews.
EX2 – Experience gathering and analyzing information and using this information to write elements or sections of reports, management letters or briefing notes.
EX3 – Experience working on project teams or as a member of a working group.
*Recent and significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally have been gained through performing the duties for a period of at least two (2) years in the past three (3) years.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS (not required, a nice to have)
EDUCATION
- Masters or Doctoral degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in accounting, business administration, commerce, finance or some other specialty relevant to the position.
- Certification from a recognized professional accounting or auditing organization: CPA (CA, CMA, CGA), CIA, CGAP, CISA; OR Progressing towards certification from a recognized professional accounting or auditing organization.
EXPERIENCE
AEX1 - Experience working in an Internal Audit function.
AEX2 - Experience preparing recommendations or strategic advice for senior management**.
AEX3 - Experience briefing or providing oral presentations to senior management**.
AEX4 - Experience completing data analysis using data analytics software such as but not limited to ACL or IDEA.
AEX5 - Experience using audit management software.
**Senior management is defined as individuals at the Director level and above.

Secret security clearance - All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
